The name Fretz became more and more a quality brand. Viola Fretz-Wältermann's father Werner was the creative consultant especially for many companies. Even today, traces of his office concepts and interior design can be discovered at the lake. His mother Paula played a major role in the growth of the furniture store. Under her leadership, today's main building on Fürstenbergstraße in Constance was remodelled and expanded in the 1960s and 1970s. Where once the cradle of the company was, the kitchen store and the children's furniture department moved in.

Today, the furniture store is one of the top 10 in Germany.

The furniture store underwent another strong development in 1995 after Viola Fretz-Wältermann joined as managing director. The trained economist expanded the company line. Since then, the high-quality living concepts with interior design consulting competence have dominated; delivery is free and assembly is carried out by experienced carpenters. Today, the furniture store is one of the top 10 in Germany, and customers can find all the big brands on Fürstenbergstraße: In kitchens, for example, SieMatic and Varenna; lighting by Ingo Maurer, Belux and Foscarini; in living Cor, Josef Hoffmann and Interlübke and in garden furniture both Dedon and Kettal, as well as Royal Botania - and of course customers come across classics by Panton, Minotti and Eames. Our art lies in the detail - in design and in furnishing.
